Gambling in the Workplace: Anything but a Safe Bet

Join us for a free webinar sponsored by the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry FPI EAP Programs.

Thursday, March 14, 2024
2:00–3:00 pm

Join us for a better understanding of how problems related to gambling can show up in the workplace. Individuals experiencing gambling-related harm may become preoccupied with gambling so that their workday is spent either in the act of gambling, planning their next opportunity to gamble, or strategizing ways to obtain money for gambling. The cost of this hidden addiction affects employers, loved ones, and even the healthcare system.

Webinar Objectives

By participating you will:

  • Increase awareness of gambling disorder in Maryland and its relationship to workplace wellness
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of someone at risk of a gambling disorder, and know how to incorporate evidenced-based screening into your practice.
  • Learn about the resources available to assist individuals and loved ones affected by gambling harms.

Presenter: Kristen Beall, LCSW-C, LCSW-C, ICGC-I, CAC-AD
